Now that you have a website or blog online you need more blog traffic. There are two main types of blog traffic. Paid traffic, such as PPC or free traffic like blogs, article marketing and web 2.0 properties. All you need is a simple blueprint, outlined below to get started.
Here are 6 Easy Steps to Getting Your New WordPress Blog Indexed and increase your Free web traffic. I use this for all my niche blogs.
Step-1- How to get indexed quickly and get the traffic flowing. If you don’t have them already, set up an account at each site listed below. I don’t do just article marketing, but you can.

Make sure what ever you choose is “Do Follow” and has a MU blog option.
Step-2, Write articles and how to’s on your topic and submit one unique version to all of the above properties. Make sure you use anchor text when linking back to your blog. So use How to build a blog from scratch and then use Easy ways to build a blog from scratch.
You want to use variations in your link text, but you can use 5 to 6 of the same before you change it up.
Always keep adding web 2.0 properties and blogs to your network. I usually add 2 to 3 new properties per week with varying anchor text. Search for High PR do follow blogs to find more.

Step-3-Ping your blogs, and new web 2.0 properties using ping device. You can also take this one step further and promote your RSS feeds. I do this, because my main blog is updated using ping o matic.
Step -4-Use html2rss or grab the RSS feeds of your properties and convert into one RSS feed at Feedburner. Then promote your new RSS feed. As you update your blog and web 2.0 properties these feeds will update with new content automatically.
Step-5- Youtube-most people are very nervous about making a video. Don’t be. Just make a PowerPoint or slideshow of your how to guide or article. Add background and music and your all set. Make sure you don’t promote here… just add helpful content. Promote using Tubemogul.
Step-6-Last, but not least is Forum marketing- find 3-6 forums and make some helpful posts. Try and make 10 to 15 posts each week. Use anchor text in your signature and link back to your site. Use boardreader to find relevant blogs for your niche.
Also make sure to use profile pages at various high PR do follow forums. Add your anchor text in your profile.
